NORTH CAROLINA – North Carolina is feeling the remnants of Sally, the once-powerful hurricane. Rain is coming down across the state, moving into Charlotte, and making its way to the eastern part of the state throughout the day.

Flooding is expected to be an issue in several areas along with severe storms. That risk will increase as the rain accumulates this afternoon and evening. This is when the heaviest rainfall will be arriving. There is also a slight risk for a storm capable of producing a brief tornado for locations.
