Cold and blustery winds brought in arctic air, and many areas will see a freeze overnight with many higher elevation mountain spots well down into the 20s.
Everybody in the region will have gusty winds at times overnight and Friday. In the Piedmont and foothills some gusts could peak at 30 to 35 mph.
