Police have detained two people suspected in a dozen shootings into cars and homes on and around Interstate 40, the Raleigh police chief said Thursday afternoon.
Police said someone shot into an occupied car in a neighborhood near I-40 in west Raleigh Thursday morning. It was the latest in a series of shootings that police said were connected.
At least six cars were shot at or shot into while driving along I-40 earlier this week, according to the Raleigh Police Department. Four homes were also hit with gunfire in the same area Wednesday.
