HILTON, N.Y. — Kirk Ashton, the former principal of Northwood Elementary School in the Hilton Central School District, has been named in two additional sex abuse lawsuits this week, according to court documents.
The lawsuits filed this week by accusers say Ashton, 51, sexually abused them for several years between 2009 and 2015 in his school office. One suit was filed in District Court of Western New York; the other in New York State Supreme Court.
Court documents say the office door was closed and the alleged victims, who were students at the time, were asked to sit on the principal's lap and had their backs rubbed and touched.
Ashton pleaded not guilty in April to multiple counts of various sex abuse charges involving children, authorities say. Another indictment unsealed last month included 15 more victims and additional charges, according to prosecutors.
Investigators say Ashton remains in jail and is due back in court next month.
