Showers will continue to travel north and reach more of eastern North Carolina by Thursday morning. Be prepared for a soggy start to the day. Although this system is not tropical, we'll have the heavy rain and sometimes gusty winds that weaker areas of low pressure often create.
We won't see temperatures change much through the day, with rain keeping things cool. We'll warm up only into the middle and upper 70s in the afternoon.
Showers and storms will become more scattered and isolated Thursday evening, leaving a slight chance for a stray shower on Friday.
Scattered storms will return this weekend with a risk for some to become severe.
