A new frontal boundary is moving into the region and will ramp up rain chances Wednesday and Thursday.

Expect scattered showers and storms Wednesday that may produce heavy rain that could lead to flash flooding. The front will slow and weaken near the coastline Thursday, keeping rain a possibility for some.

The cold front will be fully offshore by Friday, making way for a dry and hot Independence Day. Expect above average temperatures through the holiday weekend with the humidity making it feel a few degrees hotter.
