After a nice break from stormy weather Tuesday, we'll enjoy another mainly dry day Wednesday with just a bit more cloud cover.
Expect a cool and sunny start early Wednesday morning in the 50s. As temperatures climb through the day, you'll see cloud cover increasing. By the afternoon expect a mix of sun and clouds as temperatures max out in the lower 80s for many.
Wednesday will likely be our last dry day before a few afternoon storms return to the forecast for the last couple of days of the week.

1. Fayetteville leaders approve teen curfew
Anyone 16 or younger must be off the streets of the city by 11 p.m. in a move that officials hope will help curb recent incidents of gun violence.

State Rep. Ray Pickett, a Republican representing Alleghany, Ashe and Watauga counties, said he proposed the bill after sitting in traffic during his commute to the North Carolina General Assembly.

A proposal in the General Assembly aims to grant advanced practice registered nurses in North Carolina the ability to practice independently and would end rules on needing doctors. Proponents say the changes would affect the occupation and address geographical gaps in care.

When the conclave opens Wednesday, cardinals say the main focus is to find a pope who can be both a pastor and a teacher, a bridge who can unite the church and preach peace.
