RALEIGH, N.C. – The Justice Department has now subpoenaed the State Board of Elections in the investigation into possible absentee ballot fraud in Ninth District election.

According to documents obtained by Spectrum News, the State Board of Elections has to submit every single document, including electronic documents, from its investigation into the race.

Those documents are expected to go before a grand jury next month.

The investigation in question is what resulted in a new election being called for the district.
