AUSTIN, Texas -- Rodney Reed remains on death row awaiting rulings that could determine whether he lives or dies.
His case is now back up for review in Bastrop County with new witnesses and new evidence that could challenge his conviction in the 1996 murder of Stacey Stites.
Though other family members do, Stacey Stites’ older sister, Debra Oliver does not support Rodney Reed's recent stay of execution.
She says the facts of the case show Reed is guilty.
In a Spectrum News exclusive and her first interview since Reed was granted a stay of execution, Debra Oliver tells our Dr. Nicole Cross why she is speaking out and seeking justice.
