HILTON, N.Y. — There is now a lawsuit in federal court against the Northwood Elementary principal accused of sexually abusing 11 children.
Principal Kirk Ashton, the Hilton Central School District and its superintendent are all named in the lawsuit, which is seeking $20 million in damages.
Ashton has already pleaded not guilty to more than two dozen charges, including sexual abuse, course sexual conduct against a child and child endangerment.
He is being held at the Niagara County Jail.
