1. Justice Department accuses N.C. of failing to keep accurate election records

The Trump administration on Tuesday accused North Carolina's election board of violating federal law by failing to ensure voter registration records of some applicants contained identifying numbers. The Justice Department sued in federal court also asking a judge to force board officials to create a prompt method to obtain such numbers.

2. 'Essential step': Historically Black college in N.C. making strides toward accreditation

Barber-Scotia College is reaching milestones with its rebuilding efforts since losing accreditation in 2004. The college announced it's secured comprehensive liability insurance for the first time in years. Leaders say this represents a huge step toward sustainability and accreditation.

3. CIAA spurns Charlotte again in hosting basketball tournaments

Charlotte failed in its push to bring the CIAA basketball tournaments back to the Queen City in 2027. Officials announced that the CIAA decided that Charlotte would not host its men’s and women’s basketball tournaments from 2027 to 2029. Charlotte hosted the men's and women's tournaments from 2006 to 2020.

Wing and DoorDash have launched Charlotte’s first-ever drone food delivery program. DoorDash users who live within four miles of the Arboretum Shopping Center can utilize the service. Drone deliveries have also popped up in other parts of North Carolina.
