Good morning, North Carolina! Here's what you need to know today.

Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his office said Sunday.
Biden was seen last week by doctors after urinary symptoms and a prostate nodule was found. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer on Friday, with the cancer cells having spread to the bone.
When prostate cancer spreads to other parts of the body, it often spreads to the bones. Metastasized cancer is much harder to treat than localized cancer because it can be hard for drugs to reach all the tumors and completely root out the disease.

Your Weather Planner

Another pretty warm weather day is on tap around the region with highs in many spots in the low to mid-80s. Higher mountain areas will see some 70s.

A round of storms will develop tomorrow to our west, and that activity will then make a run toward the area from late tomorrow afternoon into tomorrow night. At this point, most of tomorrow looks dry, but then a round of showers and storms could sweep through tomorrow night.

Behind that system, cooler and drier air will take over for the end of the week with comfortable afternoons and cool mornings on the way.
