Good morning, North Carolina! Here's what you need to know today.

In her first campaign rally since Tuesday’s presidential debate, Vice President Kamala Harris used her remarks in front of a rowdy crowd in Charlotte to slam her GOP rival’s performance and declare that America is ready to “turn the page.” She proposed an additional debate, an idea former President Donald Trump has already thrown cold water on. Harris later stopped in Greensboro, where she outlined proposals including what she calls her "Opportunity Economy" agenda.

Your Weather Planner

Scattered showers will spread across the state today. Rain looks more likely Saturday, but only scattered showers. A few more isolated showers look possible on Sunday, but coverage will be less than Saturday.

What will low pressure do off our coast? Looks like our shower chances will increase early next week. Whether or not it becomes tropical or subtropical, rain will be the biggest threat. There is still a lot of uncertainty with this, so stay tuned.
