NORTH CAROLINA -- It felt chilly Saturday in many places in the interior Carolinas Saturday, especially compared to the extreme heat just prior.

  • Afternoon temperatures today will warm into the 70s in the piedmont, 60s in the mountains, and near 80 along the coast
  • A cold front will approach tomorrow and bring a good chance of mountain showers tomorrow afternoon
  • Following that front, temperatures cool down a bit again, and the net result will be temperatures all week long in the ballpark of October averages

Afternoon temperatures today will warm into the 70s in the piedmont, 60s in the mountains, and near 80 along the coast.

A few showers are possible along the coast and in the mountains, but most Carolina real estate will be dry.

A cold front will approach tomorrow and bring a good chance of mountain showers tomorrow afternoon. As moisture pools ahead of the front, a decent number of scattered showers and storms are also possible near the coast.

Following that front, temperatures cool down a bit again, and the net result will be temperatures all week long in the ballpark of October averages.
