A cold front is sliding into the Carolinas tonight, and some showers will remain a possibility. The best shower chances will be in the mountains and near the coast with piedmont shower chances relatively low.
Behind that front, a northeasterly flow of wind will kick in, and lots of clouds will remain in place through the day tomorrow. The result will be a relatively cool day with piedmont highs in the upper 60s, highs in the 70s near the coast, and highs only in the upper 50s in the mountains. Some showers will also remain a possibility at times, especially in the mountains.
Temperatures for the rest of the week will then remain near October averages.
Tropics...
A coastal low will develop and likely strengthen off of the mid-Atlantic and Northeast coast later this week. The result will be some gusty conditions near the coast with increased surf and rip currents all week long.
