SAN ANTONIO – Severe thunderstorms passed through Bexar County late Thursday night, leaving some destruction behind in their paths.
- Bus got stuck near railroad tracks
- Pipe bust inside United Methodist Church

According to authorities, eight people were rescued from a VIA bus stuck in high water around 9:42 p.m. by Dreamland Drive near the railroad tracks. Firefighters said the rescue took time and was risky.
Near downtown, a roof and a fire escape collapsed at the Travis Park United Methodist Church in the 200 block of West Travis Street.

A pipe also broke on the third floor, flooding most of the building. No Injuries were reported.
According to CPS Energy, power outages did occur during the thunderstorms but resorting those outages happened quickly. There are several road closures due to flooding. Interstate 35 near Salado Creek is also experiencing high flooding. Remeber, turn around don't drown!
