SAN ANTONIO – The Alamo City’s two NCAA Division 1 universities will face off for the first time inside the Alamodome on Saturday.

  • River Rally on Thursday

  • UTSA laid new turf in Alamodome

The anticipated “Hometown Showdown” between University of Texas-San Antonio and University of Incarnate Word will feature a River Rally on Thursday along the River Walk.

Admission is free to the rally and the community is encouraged to line the River Walk along the route from the International Center clockwise around to Arneson River Theatre.

 

 

 

Festivities are slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. with a river parade featuring boats carrying members of each football team, as well as dignitaries, bands and cheerleaders from both schools.
