TEXAS — Officials from University of Texas-San Antonio and University of Texas-Austin announced a five-game series on Friday that will begin in 2022 and continue every other year through 2030, according to a press release.
All five contests will be held at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium at Joe Jamail Field in Austin.
The Roadrunners, who played their inaugural game in 2011, and Longhorns, who have a football history that dates back to 1893, will meet for the first time on the football field on September 17, 2022.

Texas will be the fourth different Big 12 Conference team that UTSA has faced in its history. The Roadrunners upended Baylor University by a 17-10 score in September 2017, for their inaugural win against a team from a Power 5 conference.
