SAN ANTONIO – The father of King Jay Davila, an 8-month-old who tragically died in January, will be in court on Wednesday morning regarding his charges.

  • Three current charges
  • Bail remains at $1.25 million
  • Davila's mother posted bail in February

The hearing will evaluate Christopher Davila's current charges, including injury to a child, endangerment of a child, and tampering with evidence with intent to impair.

Davila's charge for tampering with evidence is still set at $250,000 even though his mother’s charge was reduced, and she posted bail in early February. Davila's cousin also remains jail for tampering charges, as she was the primary accomplice in stagging the kidnapping of the baby.

With all of Davila's charges combined, Davila's bond remains at $1.25 million.

On February 1, the Medical Examiner’s office said the death was caused by blunt-force injuries, ruling it a homicide.
