AUSTIN--A Round Rock man accused of kidnapping two girls had his day in court on Monday.
- Jury selection and trial was delayed for four months

After a four-month delay, jury selection and trial started for Terry Miles. He was accused of kidnapping two girls in 2017, who were 7 and 14 years old then.
Police started searching for the girls after their mother, Tonya Bates, was found dead in her home that December. Miles was her roomate. In their search, police located Miles with the two girls in Colorado. The girls were unharmed. Miles told police he did not kill their mother.
So far, no one has been charged in Bates' death. Round Rock police are still investigating.
The trial is expected to last until Thursday.
