NORTH CAROLINA -- A new year is here, and the Weather on the 1s calendar is starting to fill up with requests for talks from our meteorologists.
Our team often visits schools across central North Carolina to talk about weather that affects our state. We have special presentations for grade levels that often study weather including pre-school, kindergarten, 2nd grade, 5th grade, and 7th grade. For younger groups from pre-school through 2nd grade, we'll provide a special Project Weather activity book to help kids learn more about weather!
Our talks are not just limited to school kids though. We are available to speak with civic organizations in the Triangle and Sandhills on topics ranging from severe storms and hurricanes to the impacts of climate change on our state.
If you'd like a member of our team to visit your class or civic group, have a teacher or administrator from the school or the leader of your group contact us at ncweather@charter.com
You can also contact an individual from our team directly:
We'll reply to you as soon as possible to see how we may be able to fit you into our schedule. Please provide an estimate of how many people are in your group along with a range of dates and times that you would like a talk.
