WILMINGTON, N.C. – A replica of the Santa Maria, Christopher Columbus’s famous ship, is coming to Wilmington.

• A replica of the Santa Maria is coming to the Port City Marina.
• It will be open to the public May 9-19.
• Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids. 

This ship will be on display at Port City Marina in downtown May 9-19, near the convention center and the police department.

The “Nao Santa Maria” set sail in 2017 to mark the 525th anniversary of the original voyage which started in Spain in 1492.

Interestingly enough, the ship was built in Spain by the Nao Victoria Foundation and has made several travels to France and Spain in 2018, as well as a voyage across the Atlantic.

The public is welcome to tour the ship. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children, and $25 for families (including two adults and up to three children)
