An employee at a senior living facility faces charges after she inappropriately touched a patient's breast and exchanged nude photos of unknowing residents, the Davie County Sheriff's Office said.
Sheriff J.D. Hartman said on Dec. 13, deputies responded to an assault call at Mocksville Senior Living on the 300 block of Hospital Street in Mocksville. There they found Cindy Gale Rice and Ronnie Mccoy.
“During the investigation, other facility staff showed Deputies a disturbing video that was sent to them in a group chat from Rice,” Sheriff Hartman said. “The video showed Cindy Gale James Rice, inappropriately touching a patient’s breast.”
Deputies arrested Rice and obtained a search warrant for her cell phone. After going through it, they discovered photos of nine more victims in a text chain between Rice and another person.
“The text messages also indicated that the second individual was asking for and directing types of photographs to be taken and sent to him,” Sheriff Hartman said.“The text messages also indicated that the second individual was asking for and directing types of photographs to be taken and sent to him,” Sheriff Hartman said.
Rice now faces sixteen charges in all, including six counts of felony secret peeping, and is currently being held without bond. Her next court date is scheduled for Feb. 13.
Ronnie Mccoy was charged with eight counts of accessory before the fact for his part, and is also being held without bond.
Deputies collaborated with senior living staff, carefully matching names to faces and making difficult phone calls to inform families of the victims.
Investigators continue to look into this case, and as anyone with information, to call the Davie County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 336 -751-6238.
