NORTH CAROLINA — After a winter storm pushed its way across the state early Monday, thousands were left without power.
Outage numbers peaked around 211,000 Monday morning, and it took crews several days to restore power to all the impacted areas.
Guilford, Forsyth and Mecklenburg counties were among those that saw the highest number of outages during the storm. Outages in those areas reached numbers ranging between 20 and 50,000 customers impacted.
As of Wednesday morning, a little more than 2,500 outages remained across the state.
