Vice President Kamala Harris is in the Tar Heel state Thursday, along with other dignitaries.
Harris is visiting Charlotte to speak on the impacts of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and Congresswoman Alma Adams are also traveling with the vice president.
Harris landed in Charlotte to be greeted by Gov. Roy Cooper and Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles before going to the CATS bus garage to get a tour and learn about electric buses.
Harris traveled to North Carolina in April this year also. During that trip, she visited the Center for Advanced Manufacturing at Guilford Technical Community College near Greensboro to tout infrastructure improvements and talk about the administration’s economic policy and the American Jobs Plan. She spoke in High Point as well.
Last week, President Joe Biden also paid a trip to the state to serve an early Thanksgiving dinner to military troops and their families at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville.
