CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An early morning shooting on a light rail train in Charlotte left a man injured Wednesday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.
The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. on a train on South Boulevard near the Scaleybark Station.
Police say the man was shot by a passenger he physically assaulted on the train. The man shot was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
"The passenger who fired his weapon is being cooperative and currently speaking with detectives," police say.
Detectives are still working to determine whether there will be charges in the case.
