CHARLOTTE, N.C. – There has been an update to an officer involved shooting in Charlotte earlier this year.
An autopsy report shows Danquirs Franklin died after Charlotte Mecklenburg Police shot him three times.
The shooting took place March 25 outside of a Burger King. Police say they shot Franklin because he had a gun and refused to drop the weapon after several commands.
The medical examiners say there was no alcohol in Franklin’s system at the time of the incident.
