Lake Wylie neighbors concerned about erosion, flooding

YORK COUNTY, S.C. -- Residents who live near Lake Wylie say they aren't happy after water poured through their neighborhood Sunday.

The community is concerned about erosion from a construction project
Residents say they warned the county something would happen
The county issued a stop work order to the company

A neighbor took video as heavy rains rolled through and water poured down a section of Bonum Road.

They say Mother Nature wasn't the only cause. There's erosion from a construction project. People in the community say they warned the county something like this would happen.

“Nobody back here wanted it, and [we] asked and begged and pleaded with the county to abandon this section of it and they wouldn't do it,” York County resident Paul Link said.
