Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger took to the town in Charlotte Wednesday night. The legendary rock band has a show at the Bank of America Stadium Thursday night.

"Out and about last night in Charlotte, NC," the singer said on Twitter Thursday morning. He shared a photo of himself standing in front of the Thirsty Beaver Saloon drinking a beer.

Brian Wilson, co-owner of the bar, says he was alerted to Jagger's visit after his phone "blew up" Thursday morning with people asking or telling him about it.

“It's so cool to know that millions and millions of dollars later and hundreds of thousands of fans, that he still likes to come out and just hang out with the everyday guys that like to hang out at a dive bar and listen to his music on the jukebox,” Wilson said.

Despite the social media explosion the next morning, Wilson says not everyone was aware of Jagger's presence Wednesday night.

“I know there were a couple guys sitting on the patio that are going to the show tonight, that have some floor seats, and that they were dying to get as close as possible but little did they know, they were already as close as possible,” Wilson said.

Charlotte is the second stop on the Rolling Stones' No Filters Tour. The cross-county tour was rescheduled from last year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The tour started Sunday in St. Louis. The Rolling Stones will be making stops in Nashville, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Atlanta and five other cities before finishing the tour in Austin on Nov. 20.
