ST. LOUIS — From tasting a variety of chili to watching live armored jousting, there are several events taking place in the St. Louis area this weekend, Oct. 12-13.
The St. Charles Riverwalk Market’s inaugural Pumpkin Festival is Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The festival will feature pumpkin treats, crafts, live music and a pumpkin carving contest. There also will be free face painting and pumpkin painting for children starting at 9 a.m.

The Take Part Foundation will host its annual Donut Run 5K Saturday at The Hub STL in Chesterfield beginning at 8 a.m.
The St. Louis nonprofit supports research for rare pediatric diseases and helps cover the cost of genetic testing for families. Since 2021, the Take Part Foundation has raised more than $500,000 for crucial research and genetic testing for families.
Saturday’s event will feature coffee from local shops, an after party with live music, face painting, donuts provided by Duck Donuts and other family fun.

The 40th annual Belleville Cook-Off is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Belleville, Ill., around the Veterans Memorial Fountain and along Main Street.

Urban Chestnut Brewing Company will host Oktoberfest Saturday on Manchester Avenue from noon to 11:30 p.m. and Sunday at Midtown Biergarten from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The St. Louis Renaissance Festival is taking place every weekend through Oct. 27 at Rotary Park in Wentzville.
