ST. LOUIS — With fall officially underway, there are several seasonal activities taking place in the St. Louis region this weekend, Sept. 28-29.

Little Readers Festival

The St. Louis County Library will host a Little Readers Festival Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Florissant Valley Branch.

The event is recommended for families with children ages 0-5. Featured in events include Miss Libby’s Music Part, Bruce the Bear Story Time and a chance to meet Fredbird from the St. Louis Cardinals and Louie from the Blues.

There also will be a variety of other activities and giveaways provided by 17 St. Louis-area organizations.

Zootoberfest

The Saint Louis Zoo will host Zootoberfest Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will feature live music, beers from around the world and children can participate in Zootoberfest activity stations and rootbeer.

Evolution Festival

The Evolution Festival returns to Forest Park Saturday, which celebrates music, cuisine, arts and spirits at Langenberg Field.

Artists such as Beck, Billy Idol, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Pete Yorn and more will perform on Saturday. The Killers, Tom Morello, Elle King, Killer Mike and more will perform on Sunday.

St. Charles Oktoberfest

The annual Oktoberfest in St. Charles is Saturday and Sunday.

Featured events include Raise the Stein, Brat Eating Contest, Wurst Race Ever 5k/10k, Antique Car Show, Sunday Funday and Weiner Takes All.

Attendees also can enjoy a variety of food, drink and retail vendors.

All-day children’s activities include balloon artists, pumpkin painting, face painting and bounce house.

Sababa 2024

St. Louis’ biennial premier Jewish Arts & Culture Festival, Sababa, is Sunday at The Staenberg Family Complex in Creve Coeur from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The festival is hosted by the Jewish Community Center and the St. Louis Jewish Federation.

This year’s event will feature four headlining musical acts from Israel, Texas and St. Louis, a taste of Jewish-American culture by renowned Chicago-based kosher caterer, Zelda’s Catering, in addition to art exhibitors and other culinary experiences.

Some children’s activities include a scavenger hunt, yoga, a performance by Circus Harmony, exotic animals and more.

The event is open to the public, however, registration is encouraged.

Field of Nightmares & Fall Fest at Brookdale Farms

Brookdale Farms in Eureka has a new and redesigned haunted experience that is taking place through Halloween.

The new experience promises one the scariest haunts with creepy corridors, dark corners and terrifying surprises.

Brookdale Farms’ family-friendly fall festival includes hayrides, a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, a petting zoo, a low-ropes course, a playground, a mechanical bull, food and drink vendors and more.
