GEORGETOWN, Texas — Texans’ favorite grocery store has broken ground on another location in the Austin metropolitan area.

  • To commemorate the announcement, H-E-B donated $5,000 to four local nonprofits–totalling $20,000–which were the Georgetown ISD Education Foundation, Brookwood in Georgetown, The Caring Place and the Boys & Girls Club of Georgetown

  • The store is expected to open in the summer of 2025 at the corner of Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Ranch Road 2338

H-E-B began construction on its third store in Georgetown, the chain announced Tuesday. 

“We’re proud to have served the Georgetown community for over 55 years and look forward to continuing to bring our customers the very best that H-E-B has to offer,” said Heidi Anderson, H-E-B senior director of public affairs, in a news release.

The new location is expected to include a 112,000-square-foot store along with a fuel station and car wash. Inside the store, there is expected to be a full-service bakery and tortilleria, full-service meat and seafood department, Sushiya handmade sushi, pharmacy, floral market and more

“H-E-B’s newest location will offer a world-class shopping experience with an emphasis on fresh, top-quality products at H-E-B’s celebrated low prices,” the release said. 

To commemorate the announcement, H-E-B donated $5,000 to four local nonprofits–totalling $20,000–which were the Georgetown ISD Education Foundation, Brookwood in Georgetown, The Caring Place and the Boys & Girls Club of Georgetown. 

Georgetown has long been an up-and-coming suburb in the Austin area, and in the last year, it was named the fastest-growing city in America, according to U.S. Census data. 

The store is expected to open in the summer of 2025 at the corner of Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Ranch Road 2338.
