SAN ANTONIO – A 50-foot H-E-B Christmas Tree arrived at Travis Park on Tuesday morning.
- Tree will be decorated with more than 10,000 lights
- Free VIA rides to be provided for celebration
- Free ice skating to be provided for select hours during celebration
In the upcoming days, the tree will be decorated with more than 10,000 red and white lights and dozens of gold and silver handmade ornaments.

H-E-B’s Texas Backyard team sourced the Blue Spruce Christmas tree from Northern Michigan near Lake Michigan.
The 35th Annual H-E-B Tree Lighting Celebration will take place from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday, November 29. The tree lights will be illuminated for the first time at 6:20 p.m.
For the tree lighting celebration, H-E-B will provide free VIA bus rides to the tree lighting as well as free ice skating to guests from 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

The free community celebration is open to the public and will feature activities such as cookie decorating stations, holiday crafts, free giveaways, letters to Santa and live musical entertainment as well as a special visit from Santa.
