AUSTIN, Texas — Another artist is pulling out of this year’s ACL festival.

Country artist Tanya Tucker is canceling the rest of her 2021 shows due to COVID concerns and healing from hip surgery. The singer had an emergency hip surgery in August after doctors discovered a fracture.

“It pains me to do this, but I must keep my fans, band and crew safe. I love my team, and most of all, I love you, the fans. We’ll be back in 2022 ready to kick some ass,” she said on her social media pages.

Tucker was scheduled to play Weekend 1 of ACL Fest, and no replacement has been announced.

In August Stevie Nicks also canceled all of her remaining 2021 tour dates due to COVID-19 concerns. She’s been replaced by Duran Duran.

The festival is set to take place Oct. 1-3 and Oct. 8-10 at Zilker Park in Austin.
