AUSTIN, Texas — Stevie Nicks announced Tuesday that she is canceling her five shows scheduled this year due to COVID-19 concerns. This includes both weekend appearances at ACL Festival.
“These are challenging times with challenging decisions that have to be made. I want everyone to be safe and healthy and the rising Covid cases should be of concern to all of us. While I’m vaccinated, at my age, I am still being extremely cautious and for that reason have decided to skip the 5 performances I had planned for 2021,” Nicks said.
This is the second original headliner who won’t be performing at the ACL Festival this year. Rapper DaBaby was dropped from the ACL lineup after making homophobic remarks at a recent Miami-area music festival. He’s been replaced with Tyler, the Creator.
ACL Fest also confirmed the news Tuesday and said they will update its lineup soon. Both weekends of the festival are sold out.
