AUSTIN, Texas - Don’t look now but the Texas Longhorns have cracked the top five of the Associated Press’s men’s college basketball poll.

Texas jumped four places after beating Kansas over the weekend. This marks the team’s highest ranking under coach Shaka Smart as well as its highest ranking since February 2011.

Baylor and Gonzaga remain atop the poll.

In addition, ESPN named Texas the Team of the Week and the 84-59 blowout win over the Jayhawks marked head coach Bill Self’s worst home loss in 18 years with the program.

The Longhorns will take on Iowa State on Tuesday.
