AUSTIN, Texas -- Lizzo has turned out to easily be the biggest star at ACL, but during the first weekend of the Austin City Limits music festival, she wasn’t performing on a stage fit for a star of her stature.
- Lizzo performed on smaller Miller Lite stage during ACL Weekend 1
- Massive crowd led to safety concern
- Will perform again on October 13

In fact, given the crowd she attracted last weekend, some music fans took to social media to express safety concerns. Thousands of people attempted to push their way to the front of the stage.
Lizzo was booked before her celebrity was launched into the stratosphere and she wound up performing on the Miller Lite stage, which is smaller than the headliner stages, the Honda and American Express stages.
While it’s too late to relocate Lizzo to a larger stage for the second weekend of ACL, her performance will be simulcast on the Honda stage. It’s hoped the move will improve crowd control.
Lizzo is scheduled to take the stage at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
