AUSTIN, Texas – Memorial Day weekend is a few days away, and the weather forecast looks like it will provide plenty of options for outdoor activities, which there is no shortage of around Austin.

Round Rock Express: Friday Fireworks at Dell Diamond
Friday, May 24, 7:05 p.m.
Begin the long weekend with a baseball game, America’s national pastime. There will also be a post-game fireworks show! Tickets start at $7, and can be purchased on the Round Rock Express website.

Close Assault: 1968 at Camp Mabry
Saturday, May 25 & Sunday, May 26Shows at 11 a.m. & 2 p.m. each day
The free, two-day event includes demonstrations and displays featuring tents, equipment and vehicles. Free admission.

Summit Hike at Enchanted Rock (Fredricksburg, Texas)
Saturday, May 25 & Sunday, May 26, 9:30 a.m.
Join a park ranger for a climb to the top of Enchanted Rock. Along the way, hikers will learn about the geology, history and biology of Enchanted Rock. The entrance fee for the park is $7 per person, but children 12 and under are free. People should plan on arriving early to get in the car lineup. The park opens at 7:30 a.m.

Red, White and Blues on the Falls at Cypress Falls Event Center (Wimberley, Texas)
Saturday, May 25, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
The annual event was created in 2016 on the anniversary of the 2015 floods. People are invited to swim, float, and relax on Cypress Creek while listening to live music with family and friends. Bring the Sing Family Karaoke at Barrel O’ Fun
Saturday, May 25, 12-2 p.m.
This is a free karaoke party open to all ages. There will be a full catalog of songs to choose from, props, and on-stage challenges for the very brave of heart. Kids ages 13 and under must be accompanied by a parent.

Woodland Faerie Trail at Zilker Botanical Garden
Saturday, May 25 & Sunday, May 26, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
It’s opening weekend of the annual Woodland Faerie Trail. People can take a walk with the kids to view faerie homes and gardens created by Austin area gardeners, architects, artisans, businesses, clubs, families and school groups. Admission is $3 for non-Austin residents, $2 for Austin residents, and $1 for children and seniors.

Memorial Day Service at Texas State Cemetery
Monday, May 27, 10 a.m
This annual Memorial Day Service will take place in the Southwest section of the cemetery, known as “Republic Hill.” The service honors all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service for our country.

Free Admission at  LBJ Library & Museum
Monday, May 27, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum will offer free admission to all guests visiting on Memorial Day. Guests are invited to visit the museum’s interactive exhibits and watch compelling films.
