AUSTIN, Texas — Organizers for this year’s Statesman Cap10K have canceled the event due the weather.
- Race was set to start Sunday morning
- Canceled due to rain and lightning
The announcement was posted on the race’s Twitter page at about 7 Sunday morning. The race usually goes on — rain or shine, but the expected lightning on Sunday would have made the event dangerous for runners.
