AUSTIN, Texas — A fire broke out at an apartment complex in central Austin Tuesday.

The Austin Fire Department was able to get it under control. They are now working on salvage and overhaul. The fire happened at the 3401 Red River Street.

A resident of the complex reported on Twitter that it appeared everyone was able to exit the building safely.

No injuries were reported, but 25 residents are displaced from 20 units. Eleven units suffered either fire, water or fire control damage.

Apartment managment and the Red Cross of Central Texas are assisting displaced residents.
