ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Police Department has announced a second arrest in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash on Jay Street last month.
Michael Nash, 21, was taken in to custody Thursday and charged with second-degree manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence.
Benzino Reed, 18, was arrested Wednesday and is facing the same charges.
Police say back on March 11, the two were drag racing in separate vehicles on Jay Street when Reed's vehicle hit 57-year-old Kerry Traver, who was riding a bicycle.
RPD says Reed and Nash left the scene, and later worked together to have the car that struck Traver crushed at a salvage yard.
