The Rochester Police Department says that 16 people have been arrested after protests Wednesday morning outside City Hall.

This comes after dozens of people camped out in front of City Hall Tuesday night into Wednesday, calling for justice in Daniel Prude's death

A crowd remained at City Hall Wednesday by around 8 a.m., and announcements were made for the crowds to disperse.

Police began taking down tents and telling protesters to vacate the street and sidewalks or be arrested. Some were taken into custody. 

The Rochester Police Department says Dr. Myra Brown assisted with speaking with protest organizers of to help disperse the group so that City Hall could resume Hall normal business.

A cleaning crew arrived and began taking down fliers around City Hall. BLM and Pride flags that were put up on Tuesday were also removed from the city hall flag poles, with the American flag and New York State flag put back up.
