ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A new initiative is helping Rochester families find quality education options for their children.
READY, a local organization dedicated to improving school access, has launched several initiatives, including an online school finder tool designed by parents to help families navigate school choices. According to READY, the tool aims to provide easily accessible and comprehensive information, making the school selection process smoother for families. READY has also introduced a school incubator to support innovative educational programs.
"That tool was very important to families because they simply didn't have easy access to that information in a way that was easily understood and comprehensive. So we're excited about that," said Dr. Shanai Lee, founder and executive director of READY.
In addition to these resources, the organization is currently running a nine-month design studio program to help educators develop new school models. The program will culminate in a showcase event on March 20, giving the community an opportunity to see the innovative ideas in action.
READY leaders hope these initiatives will give families more options and improve educational outcomes in Rochester, expressing optimism for the future of local education.
