Rochester's Pont de Rennes bridge is closing for reconstruction on Wednesday.
The pedestrian connection is undergoing repairs and enhancements that are expected to last through fall 2024.
The bridge stretches over the Genessee River between the Brown's Race Historic District and Cataract Street by the Genesee Brew House.
A pedestrian detour will be posted and maintained throughout construction.
