ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Protesters continued demanding justice in the death of Daniel Prude at Rochester City Hall Monday night, and what they say is the last night of occupying City Hall — for now.
About 15 to 20 demonstrators gathered Monday night, but right around 10 p.m., Free the People Roc organizers, who've headed the continued protests, posted on social media that they have decided to end 'Occupy City Hall' and plan new actions in the coming weeks.
They say the continued protests have brought about change, citing Sunday’s visit by Attorney General Letitia James where she announced body cam footage will now be released more quickly, and the Monday subpoena of the mayor's office and Rochester Police Department in connection to the investigation into Prude's death.
