The first four subpoenas have been issued for the independent investigation into Daniel Prude's death.

Investigator Andrew Celli, who was retained by the Rochester City Council as part of its independent probe into Prude’s death and how it was handled by the city, issued those subpoenas Monday.

Mayor Lovely Warren’s office, the Rochester Police Department, City Council and the City Law Department have been ordered to turn over any documents related to Prude’s death, including any and all communications between the mayor's office, RPD, and the Locust Club.

That production of evidence is set for October 2.
