Poughkeepsie city police are looking for witnesses after an early morning shooting sent a man to the hospital.

Police say just after 6 a.m. Friday they received numerous reports of gun shots fired in the area of Muldowney Circle. After arriving, officers found the 21-year-old victim with what they say appeared to be a gunshot wound to the leg and another to his side. He was transferred to the hospital for treatment.

His condition is currently unknown.
