Two people have been sentenced in connection to last summer's shooting that wounded a toddler sleeping inside an Albany daycare.

Bahkee Green, 18, was sentenced to 15 years in prison on various gun-related charges, while 17-year-old Jarrell Howard will serve 10 years in prison.

Authorities say that last July, Green and Howard were in the area of Teunis Street and Third Avenue when a gun in their possession was fired. Several bullets went through the wall of a South End daycare, where a 3-year-old boy was hit. He survived.

Howard is also facing new charges in connection to the investigation into the shooting death of 21-year-old Nyjawaun Thomas on South Pearl Street last month.
