Movies will return to Colonie Center and Crossgates Mall on Friday.

Regal announced Wednesday that it is reopening the doors of its movie theaters at the two Capital Region malls starting this weekend.

Reopening plans include a wide range of health and safety measures, including mask wearing at all times while in the theatre lobby, auditoriums and restrooms. Masks can be removed only while eating and drinking in an auditorium. 

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday that movie theater capacity in New York is increasing to 33%.
