Allegations of sexual abuse are leveled against Bishop Howard Hubbard for what is now the third time this year.
A lawsuit filed in State Supreme Court in Albany County accused Hubbard and another priest, Joseph Mato, of abusing a child between 1976 and 1978.
The alleged abuse is said to have taken place at Saint Michael The Archangel, Roman Catholic Church in Troy.
Hubbard led the Albany Catholic Diocese for decades before retiring in 2014.
Last month, an allegation emerged he and other priests abused a child at a rectory in Schenectady, also in the 1970s.
Before that, in August a lawsuit claimed sexual abuse of a 16 year old at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Ballston Spa, again with another priest, between 1994 and 1998.
Back in 2004, the Albany Diocese paid for an independent investigation of Hubbard after allegations, which include, paying for sex with a teenager. That investigation cleared him.
We're reaching out to Bishop Hubbard for his response to this latest allegation.
He has denied the previous allegations but stepped away from public ministry in August.
